1. Ultra-High Purity Hydrogen Generation

    Mechanism: Palladium acts as a selective filter. When heated (typically above 300°C), hydrogen molecules (H2) dissociate into atoms on the tube's surface, diffuse through the metal lattice, and recombine on the other side.

    Thermocouple Protection: Palladium tubes (wells) are used to protect temperature sensors in highly corrosive or oxidizing environments where standard stainless steel or ceramic would fail.
